HURLEY'S COURT, JERSEY CITY, NJ -- In a marquee Sunday Night matchup, The Alligators got off to a sloppy start, falling in and out of rhythm, something we are not used to seeing. Probably Hungover came out hungry for a win, played strong and it showed.
The Alligators were missing too many shots at the rim and their lead eventually slipped away. Probably Hungover led at halftime 30-24 with Jason Scherr stepping up to lead all scorers with 9 points.
In the second half, the Alligators found themselves down by as many as 8. Very unusual to watch this team play catchup because they are known to explode offensively.
Probably Hungover slowed down a bit and lost some momentum, allowing the Alligators to go on a run and take the lead back with 5 minutes remaining. The rest of the half saw both teams hustling and playing fast while the score was neck and neck.
Probably Hungover ended up dominating on defense and gave Alligators their first loss of the season 61-57.
Alligators James Kaminek finished with 15 points, 2 steals and 3 rebounds and Brett Bially contributed 16 points, 2 assists, 3 steals and 2 rebounds. Probably Hungover’s Jason Scherr dropped 16 points, 1 assist, 1 steal, 6 rebounds and 1 block while Oliver Kaljuvee contributed 13 points, 1 assist and 4 rebounds.
