HOBOKEN, NJ -- Concussion Protocol finally got their first win of the season against Team X-Bladz after starting 0-3. Both teams seemed to be evenly matched in the first half on offense and defense.
Team X-Bladz started the game on defense and quickly stopped their opponent. However, with the Bladz on offense, Concussion Protocol’s David Einsenbart swooped in for an interception and the team capitalizes on it.
AJ Beck caught a pass effortlessly with two defenders on him and got the touchdown, but they couldn’t convert. Then, Team X-Bladz’s Bob Sophel had an interception, giving his team a chance to get on the scoreboard before halftime and they did. Jon Himottu caught a hard pass and took the lead 7-6.
Concussion Protocol’s quarterback, Zack, made some tough passes and the receivers caught them flawlessly, in particular Joe Janella. He caught 7 passes this half and had one touchdown to give his team the lead. Team X-Bladz’s quarterback Jake Feinman completed a lot more passes, but they were risky ones.
