In a season that’s been highlighted by rain outs, blowouts and forfeits, the weatherman finally got one wrong Tuesday night and there was just old fashioned hard-nose softball played at Bert Willis Park.
Over on field 2, the Hot Behinds scored a couple early, hung on and blanked Make it a Double, 6-0. That made 3 shutouts in a row for their new ace and likely Cy Young Award Winner Frank. The win set up a semifinal matchup with the #1 seed, Bada Bing. More on that in a bit.
The early game on field 1 had Bond St still trying to find a little of last years magic, locking horns with this season’s Cinderella story; Langosta. Led by James at short and line drive machine Amanda, who went 3-4, driving in 2 runs and planting herself in the middle of the MVP race. Langosta jumped out with a couple in the second and never looked back, cruising to an easy 8-1 win. The win would earn them a spot in the final four and a shot at the Misfits.
The final four was set, Langosta at Misfits and Hot Behinds at Bada Bing.
