The First award goes to one of the most dependable, dedicated, consistent and skilled players we have. Someone that’s always in the lineup, each and every game, and played in all three seasons. He’s among the league leaders in offense and defense. He helped lead his team win 2 Championships. In 80 at bats, he had a .637 average, hit 16 Home Runs, with 54 RBI’s and 49 Runs scored. Simpy put - this guy is a Gamer. And our first Outstanding Achievement Award goes to…..ANGEL ROMANO of Louise & Jerry’s!
Our other Outstanding Achievement Award goes to a very special player. Over 3 seasons, she had a batting average of .487.. In the Fall Season, she finished with a .615 batting average with 6 Home Runs and 21 RBI’s. Her play at third base is by far and away the best in the league. She is most deserving of this award - congratulations to ALLIE TWAROWSKI of McSwiggans.
The Men’s League manager of the year award goes to a player that takes “softball managing” to a whole new level. After each week of games, he fires off a 3-page Newsletter to all his teammates, including each and every highlight, and making sure everyone is mentioned. His team performed incredibly on the field, claiming a division championship and the Diamond Cup. Congratulations to Scott Weisberg of the Meshuganas!
The Coed League manager of the year was a very tough call. After rebounding from some brutal championship losses last year, this Captain persevered and elevated his team to new heights, capturing 2 division championships and finally getting a leg up on his arch-nemesis, which included an undefeated season. This was just their year. Congratulations to Manager of the Year, Captain Anthony Romano of Louise & Jerry's!
