Wolfpack vs. Adams Elite: Who Gets 1st Win?

Coming off a tough loss last week, Adam's Elite was hoping to pull out a victory this past Sunday in Jersey City, NJ. Starting off the game with good communication and back to back scoring from both teams was proving this to be an even match.

The first 3 pointer of the game was scored by Adams Elite at the 12 minute mark showing the strong hustle by both teams in the paint and tying the score at 12-12. Anthony Lawrence from Wolfpack out-rebounded the other team, giving them second and third opportunities to score on offense. Greg White from Wolfpack sank his squad's first 3 pointer to take the lead for the first time in 10 minutes with a quick response from Myles Oneal hitting a 3 to tie the game once again. The entire first half consisted of multiple ties, lead changes, and excellent rebounding, ending in a score of 29-27 Wolfpack.

Unfortunately Adam's Elite had multiple turnovers, giving Wolfpack more opportunities on offense. In the beginning of the second half, Elite's shots weren't falling but that didn't stop Vincent Gazzani from having 7 points in the first 5 minutes, keeping his team in the game only down by 2. Wolfpack wasn't letting up and with 10 minutes to go, and 5 out of their 6 players contributing to points on the board, they got 2 quick steals leading to a 12 point lead.

Sadly, the effort from Vincent, who had 23 points, and his teammates John Grossman (10 pts), Alex Kashton (13 points), Kyle Lewis (4pts), Paul Duggan (3 pts), and Myles Oneal (3pts) couldn't keep up with Wolfpack. The Pack's highest scorers of the night were Josh Hayer, D Wiggins, and Greg White with 15 points each, and Anthony Lawrence dropped in 10 points.

JC Tropics Defeat Adams Elite

JERSEY CITY, NJ -- The JC Tropics started out this game with quick solid passes leading to out-rebounding and out-hustling their opponent Adams Elite. Taking 6 full minutes before their first score, Elite's shots just weren't falling.

Brandon Renkart's hustle from JC Tropics was keeping them in the lead and sealing the deal, sinking in easy fast break layups from 3 steals early on. Elite was struggling to find their rhythm and playing fast and loose with the ball resulting in multiple turnovers in the first half. JC Tropics kept up the momentum and ended the first half with every player having scored with at least 1 steal, Zac Kozak with 10 rebounds and Brandon Renkart leading the team with 9 points and 7 rebounds.

With a quick easy layup in the start of the second half from Vincent Gazzani this could be the momentum they needed to pick it up. Vincent and Shay Odusam were contributing the most on offense with little help from the rest of the team. In the second half Vincent ended with 22 points, 14 rebounds and 1 assist followed by Shay with 6 points, 6 rebounds and 1 assist. Even with Vincent's three 3 pointers within 5 minutes, Adams Elite just couldn't keep up with Brandon Renkart dominating in the paint having 23 points and 7 rebounds.

Gazzani and Odusam played hard and tried to help lead their team to a victory closing the lead to 14 but unfortunately it wasn't enough. Bruce helped JC Tropics with 10 points, 3 assists, 3 steals and 5 rebounds, along with Jesse Weeks contributing 5 points, 2 assists, 2 steals, and 5 rebounds.

Hoop There it Is lights up 2nd half to crush Indy 500

Jersey City, NJ - Hoop There It Is is certain to be one of the top teams this season, as they love to put on a show and tonight was no different. Indy 500 stepped on the court feeling very confident after last week’s win and were ready to battle. The first half was very competitive, the score stayed close with Hoop There It Is leading by no more than 7. Both teams communicated on every play and searched for the best shot selection. Hoop There It Is was missing 2 of their top players and had no substitutions, but that didn’t slow them down at all. Three players specifically were on fire including Gary Hettinger and Eric Adams of Hoop There It Is and Greg Giordeeno of Indy 500. Greg scored 12 points, Eric had 11 points and Gary added 12 points as Hoop There It Is led at halftime 30-23.

Tempo remained high to begin the second half and both teams were playing strong defense. Greg Giordeeno's hot streak continued, but he didn’t get much help at all from his teammates. Hoop There It Is started getting stops and executing plays on the other end to force the lead to 22. All 5 players on Hoop There It Is stepped up this half as the game turned into a mercy. They led by as many as 27, outscoring their opponent 46-20 and there was no chance of an Indy 500 comeback. Hoop There It Is won the game in a blowout 76-43.
