Brady turns the big 4-0, Egeland messes around and gets a triple double

LAKE COMO, NJ -- Week 4 at the Shore featured three exciting games and a couple of individual milestones!

In game one, the under-manned Sonics gave the unbeaten Tigers all they could handle. Co-player of the week Halvor Egeland recorded the first triple double in league history with a monster night; 11 points, 12 rebounds, 11 assists. However, it would not be enough. Jermaine Jackson’s 22 points, Andrey Bonellis 17 and Ronald Mammano Jr’s 15, including 13 in the second half, were enough to give the Tigers the 70-67 win and get them to 4-0 and atop the division standings.

In the middle game, the story was Co-player of the Week Padraic Brady. Not often do Players of the Week come from losing teams, but when you score 43 of your teams 55 points, and you're the first to break the big four-o this season, it has to be acknowledged. The league’s leading scorer, Brady put on a show in the second half, scoring 27 and single handedly keeping the Scorpions in the game. But the Flint Tropics stuck to their game plan and got their first win of the season. They spread their shots out and had 3 players in double digits, including a double double from Fabio Silva (11pts, 12reb)

In the nightcap, The View sent a statement to the rest of the league that they are indeed for real. Their one-two punch of Mel Pitts (20 points) and and Ky Meredith (19) ran the Splash Bandicoot out of the gym in a 69-47 rout. The View will get tested next week when they take on the Tigers in what will be a battle of the undefeateds and for sole position of first place.
