Playing Scrappy Led to Win Streak

JERSEY CITY, NJ -- Scrappy SZN are now on a 3-game winning streak while their opponent, Probably Hungover, are on the opposite spectrum have now lost 3 games in a row.

Both teams’ style of play was aggressive on both ends of the floor, but Probably Hungover struggled more on offense. Scrappy SZN got what they wanted inside the paint and beyond the arc, which made it hard to defend. Their largest lead was 13 in the first half due to great communication and spacing the floor. Connor Rimbroush was huge for them on defense and grabbing offensive rebounds, he had 6 assists and 11 rebounds in the game.

Probably Hungover was able to come within 9 at one point, but they worked hard for each made basket. Scrappy SZN led at halftime 33-24 with Antonio Burnett II’s 10 points. Probably Hungover’s Nick Tytka had 9 points for his team.

The second half was about speed and energy. Both teams looked to push the ball on every possession, but Scrappy SZN controlled this half. They maintained a solid lead although Probably Hungover fought their way back to within 10. Scrappy SZN went on a run every time Probably Hungover closed the gap, leading by as many as 21. Scrappy SZN’s defense was tough in the paint and they shared the ball well. Even with Probably Hungover having the size advantage, Scrappy SZN out-rebounded them 36-23, which was huge. They went on to blowout Probably Hungover 62-41.

For Probably Hungover, Nick Tytka finished with 11 points, 2 assists, 1 steal and 2 rebounds and Andrew Durako put up 13 points, 2 assists, 3 rebounds and 1 block. For Scrappy SZN, Antonio Burnett II finished with 16 points, 3 assists, and 5 rebounds, Vic Rosario added 13 points, 1 assist, 7 rebounds and 1 block, and Aaron Gadsden contributed 11 points, 2 steals and 3 rebounds.
