Hoop There It Is on an Early Roll

            Jersey City – Hoop There It Is dropped Probably Hungover for their third straight win to start the season. The game started very energetically for both teams, and Probably Hungover got off to a great start. However, they were not able to keep it up. They opened with a 6-0 run, grabbed a lot of offensive rebounds, and took advantage of second chance opportunities. Hoop There It Is didn’t stay down too long though. The score remained close for a few minutes, along with some lead changes, until Hoop There It Is exploded for a 23-2 run. Probably Hungover went ice cold for over 10 minutes without a made field goal and didn't know what hit them. Hoop There It Is showed great defense and shot selection, which led to their largest lead of the half at 15 points. Probably Hungover did their best to chip away at the lead and found a bit of an rhythm on offense, but Hoop There It Is finished the half strong and led 34-19 at the break. They were led by Mike Minion’s 9 points. Nick Tytka led Probably Hungover with 7 points.

            The second half was disastrous for Probably Hungover, as Hoop There It Is ran them out the gym. Hoop started the half on an 8-0 run to push the lead to 23 points. Their ball movement was effortless, and the team chemistry was excellent. Probably Hungover took 7 minutes to score their first points from the field out of the break and had only 8 points in the first 15 minutes of the second half. Nick Tytka had 7 of the team’s 8 points, showing off his high motor. Hoop There It Is, however, had this game wrapped up with a 30 point lead, the largest of the night. As a team, Hoop There It Is had 17 assists to Probably Hungover’s 4 and out-rebounded their opponent 47-27. It was a dominant effort in all facets.  Hoop There It Is won via mercy rule by a score of 60-35. Probably Hungover’s Nick Tytka finished the night with 14 points, 5 rebounds, and 1 steal while Ben Carr added 11 points, 2 assists, 1 steal, and 4 rebounds. Four players for Hoop There It Is scored in double figures. Ramone Webster had 10 points, 4 assists, 3 steals, and 5 rebounds. Gary Hettinger added 10 points, 3 assists, 1 steal, 5 rebounds, and 1 block. Mike Minion posted 13 points, 2 assists, 1 steal, and 7 rebounds. Jordan Wejnert led the team with 16 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists.
