Jersey City – Sunday night featured a highly competitive match-up between CharlieWang Express and Wolfpack, a battle of undefeated's here in the early season. The game got off to a quick start on the offensive end for both squads, but Wolfpack had a better game plan. They moved the ball and made that extra pass.  Because CW Express did not cover the 3-point line well, big-man Anthony Lawrence was able to knock down 2 uncontested 3-pointers. CharlieWang Express was also missing some layups and struggled a bit at the hands of a strong Wolfpack defense. Wolfpack went up by as many as 9 points before CharlieWang Express found two hot hands in JP Kernisan and Ean Egar. Their team went on a 9-0 run to bring this game to a tie. The rest of the half featured multiple ties and lead changes, but Wolfpack took a small lead going into halftime 28-27. Anthony Lawrence led all players with 11 points, while Ean Egar and JP Kernisan each had 8-points apiece for CharlieWang Express.

Wolfpack needed to regroup early in the second half after starting cold, almost the opposite of how they began the game. It took the team over 4 minutes to make their first second half field goal. CharlieWang Express took full advantage with a 10-2 run, playing with much more toughness in boxing out and securing rebounds. They out-rebounded Wolfpack 36-27 for the game. Wolfpack found themselves in another 4-minute scoring drought and seemed to have given CharlieWang Express all the momentum to runaway with this game. Just when it looked to be getting out of hand, Wolfpack’s Edwin Melendez came up huge for his team with two clutch 3-pointers, bringing their deficit to just 5 points. CharlieWang Express was able to hold off Wolfpack's comeback bid and get the win by a score of 56-49. Edwin Melendez finished the game with 17 points and Anthony Lawrence wrapped up his night with a double-double of 15 points and 12 rebounds. For CharlieWang express, Ean Egar posted 20 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 steal while JP Kernisan added 14 points, 5 assists, 1 steal, and 7 rebounds.
