Ready to take on Hot Boys for Championship

Jersey City – It’s not a shock that breakout team nWo will be heading to their first championship. As reported all season, this team is hard to beat, and no one has been able to do so. Blue Chips put up a fight and could have had a chance if not for Farod Robinson, who will be mentioned again. To start the game nWo attacked early with their blocks and offensive rebounds. Whereas Blue Chips missed their first 5 field goals allowing nWo to get an early 9-2 lead. Never a good sign to fall behind a team like this and Blue Chips didn’t help themselves by turning over the ball so much. Blue Chips would later go on a run to come within 2, but every time they had the chance to take their first lead they’d either turn the ball over or not get back on defense in transition to stop nWo from scoring an easy layup. This game was highly competitive and fun to watch. nWo led at halftime 34-26. Noel Rivera had 11 points for Blue Chips, but oh man Farod Robinson was a beast for nWo. He had 16 points to lead all scorers, practically half of the team’s points, getting whatever he wanted, and no one could stop him.

The second half was even more cut-throat for these two teams as they both played hard and battled for the win. Blue Chips had a few flaws however that cost them big time including a lack of communication on offense and defense leading to a big advantage for nWo and again no answers for Farod. nWo was able to go up by as many as 18 after a 10-0 run and although a lot of time was left it felt like this game was over. nWo has all the momentum and Blue Chips couldn’t buy a basket. By the 7-minute mark this game was sewn up in favor of nWo as they went on to win 69-57. For Blue Chips, Noel Rivera finished with 18 points, 2 assists, 3 steals, 6 rebounds and 1 block, Khaleeq Stafford added 16 points, 5 assists, 1 steal and 3 rebounds and Jamiel Paige contributed 11 points, 1 assist, 1 steal and 7 rebounds. For nWo although 3 other players were in double figures at 10 points apiece (Will Kales, Louis Williams Jr. and Matik Jones), it was really Farod Robinson who led this team to the win. He totaled 26 points, 1 assist, 1 steal, 10 rebounds and 1 block. nWo will face the Hot Boys in the championship game.
