Win Streak Stays Alive

FROM OCT. 24TH -- HOBOKEN, NJ -- The Game Blouses, the top team in ABL's Troy Aikman Division, took on Flavortown, the 8th place team in the John Elway Division, and showed them who owns the field.

Game Blouses were able to keep up their perfect win streak and gave Flavortown their third straight loss. They started off hot, thanks to their quarterback extraordinaire Felix Jiang. Felix had a monster game, completing 20 of 22 passes and 5 touchdowns.

In the first half, Brian Macellera caught two touchdown passes and Anthony N. had 1. Not only was the Game Blouses offense amazing, but the defense was solid too. Even so, Flavortown’s quarterback Mike Maroon was able to throw an impressive pass to Brendan Carrol, who put his team on the board. In the game, Mike went 17 for 28 attempts and 2 touchdowns. Game Blouses led at the half 21-6.

Second half was all about Game Blouses. Felix threw a long pass to Kyle Rawsin, who caught it in the in zone with the defender’s hands on the ball as well. More great plays to follow, including an interception by Kevin Malones and another touchdown from Anthony N.

Flavortown was struggling big time, down 35-6 with 10 minutes remaining in the game. They made a few good plays, including Mike’s long pass touchdown to Brendan Carrol, who scored his second touchdown of the game and followed that with an interception. Off that turnover, Andrew Scrutchfield scored a touchdown and the score is now 35-18, but only 3 minutes left. Game Blouses put the nail in the coffin as Brian Macellera ends the game with a defensive touchdown. Game Blouses remain undefeated 41-18.
