PNCT overpowered

HURLEY'S COURT, JERSEY CITY, NJ -- The revamped Hot Boys took on new kids on the block PNCT in a fiery performance to open the fall season. Both teams looked sloppy in the first couple minutes. PNCT struggled offensively, making numerous turnovers and failing to score their first field goal until the 8 minute mark of the game.

The Hot Boys took advantage, and gathered an early 12-point lead. They shared the ball well and led by as many as 28 in the first half. PNCT seemed confused and lacked communication. The amount of fast break points and points in the paint were too numerous to count for the Hot Boys. They led at halftime 42-14 with Tanner Cecen leading the way with 17 points.

The second half was even more frustrating for PNCT and even though they put in a great effort, the Hot Boys could not be slowed down. Ronald Prophete started the half with two dunks and two blocks. The team filled up the stat street with a total of 26 assists and 21 steals, not to mention a jaw-dropping 62-point lead WOW!! The competition was absent for the Hot Boys as they gave new meaning to the term “blowout”.

PNCT will have to step up moving forward, but luckily they have a couple guys to lean on, including Rob Stewart who scored 10 points, 2 steals and 2 rebounds and Ken Walter who had 14 points, 1 steal, 8 rebounds and 1 block.

Every Hot Boy should be mentioned, but standing out were Tanner Cecen totaling 27 points, 1 assist, 4 steals and 2 rebounds, Antonio Burnett II with 19 points, 6 assists, 4 steals and 3 rebounds and Connor Rimbroush who contributed 9 points, 7 assists, 3 steals and 8 rebounds in the 92-30 win.
