CLIFTON, NJ -- Covering this game was strategic!  The teams were very evenly matched, Arsenal was 5-5 & The Punishers were 4-6 heading into this game.  The Bill Madlock Division is still up for grabs with BigBig Willies (7-3) & Bad Hombres (8-6) in front.  The Punishers took over 3rd place today by defeating Arsenal in back to back games, improving their overall record to 6-6 & dropping Arsenal below .500 at 5-7

In Game 1, Greg crushed a 3 Run Homer in the bottom of the first, tying the game at 3.  Arsenal just couldn't get much going offensively with only 5 extra base hits & had 3 scoreless innings.  The bottom of the order for the Punishers were impressive with Sal, Joey & Christian going a combined 5 for 6, 5 runs scored & 3 RBI's.  Anes contributed a solo homer in the bottom of the 5th (2 RBIs total).

Game 2 was a lot closer!  The game had several lead changes & came all the way down to the wire in the bottom of the 7th. Joey Feinstein had a chance to win it for the Arsenal with 2 outs & bases juiced.  He Hit a line drive fly ball to right center which was barely caught to give The Punishers the 21-20 victory!  Arsenal scored 20 runs in this one & it should have been enough, but to no avail!  Every person in the lineup scored at least 1 run!  Leading Arsenal in RBIs was Joey F, Jared F & DJ with 4 a piece. 

4 Players for The Punishers crushed Homers, they are:  Ant, Greg, Justin & Anes!  Anes led the team with 6 RBI's.  You got to hand it to The Punishers today!  They came in as the underdogs & not only bumped themselves up to 3rd place in the Madlock division but mostly put Arsenal into a bad spot at 5-7!
