It was a tough call between two opposing wideouts/defensive backs, but Ashley Furman of 10th & Willow Wolverines gets the nod for our Semifinals MVP honors.  He was among his team’s leading receivers with 4 receptions on the night and took one of those deep for a touchdown in the first half.  What earned him the MVP of the first round of the playoffs though was his stellar play as a two-way player.  He not only made a significant impact on offense, but he also made one of the biggest defensive plays in the game.  In the second half, he picked off the opposing quarterback and took the interception all the way back for the touchdown, putting the moves on to evade some would be tacklers.  This helped to break open the game at the time, but we can easily look back at this as one of the deciding plays of the game, a game in which we saw opponent No Fat Chix mount a comeback to fall short by one score.  It was an excellent start to the playoffs for Furman and the 10th & Willow Wolverines.
