Jersey City, NJ -- Top seed vs Bottom seed showdown, no brainer huh? Well think again. Progressive hadn’t won a legit game all season aside from a forfeit, therefore we're sure the audience was expecting a blowout, but it was quite the opposite.

Exploding with confidence, communication and strong defense and offense, Progressive came straight out the gate. They put on their best performance of the season and gave Charliewang Express a run for their money.

Charliewang played great as usual as they maintained a small lead, but Progressive’s seven 3-pointers in the first half kept the game close. Ean Egar from Charliewang Express led his team at halftime with 17 points while (no surprise) Progressive’s dynamic star Tanner Cecan put up 20 points. Progressive was only down by 4 at the half, 38-34.

       In the second half there was no slowing down for the underdogs, as Progressive went on an immediate 10-2 run to take the lead. The game then went tic for tac, multiple lead changes and ties. Charliewang Express seemed to be playing too comfortable and needed a lot more to stop Progressive.

The game got more physical as time started to wind down, with Progressive up by 6 points with 4 minutes left. Charliewang's offense suffered from Progressive’s defense in the final minutes, and shockingly the Express took the loss.

Ean Egar had a total 23 points, 5 assists, 2 steals, 1 block and 9 rebounds while teammate Billy Dowd added 25 points, 5 assists, 4 steals and 4 rebounds. Progressive’s Tanner Cecan had a jaw-dropping 44 points, 2 assists and 15 rebounds in the team’s 69-62 win.
