Dominating win for Flutie Boys

HOBOKEN, NJ -- It was an active start for both teams in this Round 1 playoff game, but soon it headed in one direction and stayed there. The Flutie boys were first to score and maintained the lead throughout the
game. Yer Motha’s Broccoli didn’t stand a chance as they couldn’t find their rhythm offensively; it was butter fingers for the receivers. Quarterback Mike Maroon only had 9 complete passes all game.

As a team, The Flutie Boys were all over the stat sheet. Star Quarterback Tait Pirkle had 25 complete
passes overall, and every member touched the ball. With everything going their way in the first half, Josh Reinson scored a touchdown, along with two from Nick Covucci. And can’t forget Jeff Paragallo’s big interception with 15 seconds left in the half, making the score 19-0.

In the 2nd half, Yer Motha’s Broccoli continued their offensive woes, however the team did have a few
good plays, including a touchdown from Brendan Carroll and an interception and sac from Andrew Scrutchfield.

The Flutie Boys started the half with an interception by Jeff Paragallo, who also scored another touchdown. Adding to the long list of stats, a sac by Adam Rudin plus a touchdown, and Nick Covucci scored his third TD. THIS GAME WAS OVER 38-6!!!

Yer Motha’s Broccoli weren’t ready for their opponent and ended the season on a disappointing note. Congrats to The Flutie Boys, who will face off against BaderAde & Vodka for the Championship.
