Oct. 15, 2017 - HOBOKEN, NJ -- In the second game of the Slingers double-header for the night, they surprisingly faced more of a challenge against the winless Hudson River Crossfits than they did a game earlier.

HRC, a team desperate for their first win, pulled out big man on campus Vinny, and filled up his stat sheet with a homerun and 2 RBI’s on his first bat.

Staying hot the next 3 innings, Vinny hit another homerun, and Dan K added 2 RBI’s. HRC was eyeing their first win of the season, but don’t get excited too fast! The Slingers responded and by the 4th inning were only down by 1.

It was all Slingers after that, as HRC completely cooled off and went scoreless the rest of the game. Although Ryan was the only Slinger to hit a homerun and get 3 RBI’s, it was a team win. 5 runs in the 6th inning alone ran a shocked HRC team out of the park to continuing their losing streak.
