CLIFTON, NJ -- The weather is dipping, the ground is solid & the Men's Softball Teams are getting chippy!  Arsenal & Ad Rush split their double header today as each team eyes the playoffs!

Game 1 belonged to Ad Rush.  Kevin Vogel gets the win & certainly " Beat the Shift" by only allowing 4 extra base hits!  He also added 2 RBI's during his At Bats.  J.C. added 2 RBI's for the Ad Rush (sorry about your Phins, fire your Offensive Coordinator!)  Leading the team in RBI's was Joe with 3. 

Arsenal were certainly in this game but squandered opportunities in the first 2 innings going scoreless.  Tom Romano, who is often known as laid back, was on fire after hitting a 2 Run Homer in the 4th!  His teammates (as well as the Umpire & myself) enjoyed seeing Tom outside of himself!

Arsenal - 13

Game 2, Arsenal squeezed out a 'W" by outscoring Ad Rush by 1 run, (16-15).  Alex A. was on diesel scoring 3 runs, hitting 2 Homers & led all teams with 8 RBI's!  WOW!  Speaking of WOW, Jared earned some "Shocking Wow's" from his teammates for whhhhifffffiiingggggg in the 1st inning!  A rare site in Men's Softball!  Sorry Jared, you were bound for public mockery after that one!  No worries, there is no "I" in "K"!

These 2 teams are so similar, could they both make the playoffs?  Time will tell!
