Just last week, we were commenting on how we believed Tainos to essentially be, the team to beat.  Well, so far yesterday, they proved us right.  Tainos & Arsenal squared off in their marquee playoff matchup last Sunday.  

We've covered both of these teams, so we were excited to see the turnout.  Game 1 belonged to Tainos.  They started right out of the gate driving in 9 runs in the bottom of the 1st & after 4 innings, it was over.  Lead off man Ray M. was 3 for 3 w/ 3 RBI's.  Powerhouse Carmine N. chipped in going 3 for 3 w/ 2 RBI's.  The Homeruns belonged to Josh & Jose, muy buen!  Louis N. lead the team w/ 4 RBI's.

Pops (Lou.) was on the mound & had complete control only giving up 8 hits in 4 innings.  

Arsenal just couldn't get anything going outside of Jose & Kai (who each homered!).  Alex A. who bats 3rd struggled to bring home Orlando & Jomar, by going 0 for 2 w/ a Sac Fly RBI.

Game 2 was a bit more interesting.  Tons of lead changes & swift hitting!  Arsenal played a solid all around game, scoring 10 runs through 4 innings & had the lead after 4 innings as well.  Kudos to Orlando O. had who the catch of the game which was a deep shot into right center field, but Orlando covered a lot of ground to make a sick catch. Both dugouts were impressed by this one!

Tainos regrouped after 4 & seemed to rattle pitcher Eric M. for 9 runs in the tops of 5th.  Eddy, Jose & Carmine all bombed Home Runs!  Arsenal just couldn't respond with enough firepower to come back from the 5th inning rally by Tainos.

Tainos move on to face last year's champions, D'Anna Electric!!!
