Mid-Season Review - Indy Force

Indy Force defies the odds and sits tied for 2nd after a hot start.

Indy Force has been our best individual team to date.  No chemistry coming in?  No problem.  This team has gelled since game one.  They actually rank last in points scored, rebounds, and assists, fourth in 3-point field goals, and tied for fourth in steals.  So how have they been so successful?  This is just a scrappy team that plays hard from the opening whistle to the final whistle.  They battle.  And, despite being in the bottom half in steals, they play some pretty stout defense.  These numbers are also skewed a bit against them, being one game behind much of the league and also being forced to forfeit a game.  Once the games level out, I expect these rankings to change.

Indy Force has started the season white hot, jumping out to a 3-1 record with their only loss coming due to forfeiture.  Their 3-0 start included a thrilling overtime victory against Ball Don’t Lie.  Indy Force, thus far, has been led by Ty Patterson and Ramone Webster.  Patterson ranks fifth in points scored at 72, is tied for seventh in 3-point field goals (7), and trails the league leader in steals by just 1 with 11.  Webster ranks tenth in scoring with 53 points, fourth in 3-point field goals (11), and seventh in assists with 9.  Another key contributor is Austin Lewis, who leads the team in rebounding and is tied for tenth in the league in steals (7).

Indy Force has defied the odds thus far, and will look to carry this moment into the second half of the season.  They are currently tied for second place.  They will look to build on their strong defense and keep the ball moving to their numerous playmakers.
