The bats were busy at Mama Johnson Field on Sunday, and when the dust cleared Louise & Jerry's had a 12-8 win over Farside Ballbusters.

      The teams totaled 36 hits, including seven extra base hits in the game.

      Mike Martinez racked up two RBIs on four hits for Louise & Jerry's. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the second, fourth, and fifth innings.

      Anthony Romano got the win for Louise & Jerry's despite allowing eight runs over nine innings. Anthony struck out none, walked one and gave up 19 hits.

      Mike Brizzolara took the loss for Farside Ballbusters. He allowed 12 runs in eight innings, walked two and struck out none.

      The lead stayed with Louise & Jerry's after the first, when they scored four runs on a fielder's choice and three singles.

      After pushing across one run in the top of the second and third, Farside Ballbusters faced just a 4-2 deficit. A solo home run by Mike Landi in the second and an RBI single by Mike Brizzolara the third triggered Farside Ballbusters' comeback. Romano ended the threat by getting Brianna Bejian to line into a double play.

      The bottom of the fourth inning looked promising for Louise & Jerry’s, as Mike McCall doubled to bring home John Scafidi to kick things off.  They would pile on five additional runs to total six in the inning.

      Louise & Jerry's increased its lead with two runs in the fifth. Mike McCall started the inning with a single, again plating Scafidi. That was followed up by Mike Martinez's single, scoring McCall.

      Six runs in the top of the eighth helped Farside Ballbusters close its deficit to 12-8. Another home run by Mike Landi and a two-run home run by Justin Petho fueled Farside Ballbusters' comeback. The threat came to an end when Romano finally got Mike Brizzolara to fly out.
