Mills Tavern takes care of business

Mongo Nation had a great season, but their playoff run would be cut short by the unstoppable force that is Mills Tavern.  1st seed Mills Tavern had a +52 run differential, more than double that of the next closest team, which happened to be their opponent.  But, Mills Tavern is clicking at the right time and seem to be well on their way to a championship.  Only one last hurdle stands in their way of completing this goal.

In last week's Round 1 Playoff Game, Mills Tavern was in complete control, as they led from start to finish.  They were firing on all cylinders, with great offense complimenting excellent pitching and defense.  Mills Tavern saw great contributions from Rob Lennon, who was a double away from hitting for the cycle, and Alyssa See, who went 3 for 4 and kept the bottom of the lineup churning.  However, game ball in this one goes to leadoff batter Alex Bialy for his 4 for 4, 4 run, 3 RBI effort that included a single, a homerun, and two triples.  He also knocked in the go ahead run in the 3rd after a brief tie game.

Mills Tavern will look to build off of this all-around performance and finish the season the way every team envisioned at the start of the season, as champions. They'll have to go through 10th & Willow, another battle-tested team, on their quest for glory.
