The Heaters take a friendly match with Louise & Jerry's.

Who wants to leave games on the table?  Certainly not Louise & Jerry’s and The Heaters.  The two teams came together for what would be a make-up friendly.  After a hard fought season that ended in heartbreak for both teams, it was time to relax and let lose for a final game of the season.

This one would primarily be a defensive battle on a night where the ball was struggling to leave the yard.  Intermittent innings of scoring broke up the mostly silent bats.  The Heaters would ride a big 3rd inning for most of the game.  The 5 runs scored would give them a 6-1 lead heading into the second half of the game.  Louise & Jerry’s began to find their swing again though, as they always do.  They began to chip away in the 5th with 3 runs to cut the lead to 2 runs.  The Heaters gained those runs right back and tacked on 3 what seemed to be unnecessary insurance runs in the top of the 7th.  This, however, would not be the case.  You can never count out Louise & Jerry’s.  Down 9-4, they began to mount their comeback, scoring 3 runs with only one out and the heart of the lineup coming up.  This comeback would come just short, however, as The Heaters shut the door on their opponent right there to stall the comeback and earn a 9-7 victory.

Game ball goes to newcomer Bill Hall, who went 2 for 4 with a grand slam and a triple that totaled 5 RBI’s.
