"Minotaur's Sweep the F.S. Hitmen!"

The Minotaur's played the F.S. Hitmen in a back and forth first game until the 5th inning when they exploded for 17 runs to put it away with an easy 28-9 win.  For the Minotaur's, Mike Leshinsky was perfect at the plate going 4 for 4, scored 4 times, drove in 5 RBI's including a pair of H/R's.  Teammate Jared Koeppel was 4 for 5 at bats, drove in 6 RBI's and a H/R.   And Dale Greenberg was 3 for 4 with 5 RBI's and a H/R.

For the Hitmen, pitcher, Hector Catagena was 2 for 2 at the plate and drove in 2 RBI's for his team.

As in the first game the Minotaur team tangoed with the Hitmen, this time in their 6th inning scored 11 times to take both games in the sweep on the day with a final score of 23-12.  Mike Leshinsky and teammate Dave Greenberg each went 3 for 4 at bats, each scored 3 times and drove in 5 and 4 RBI"s, respectively.  Dave Greenberg picked up both wins as the winning pitcher for the Minotaurs.  F.S. Hitmen "Chris H" was 2 for 3 at bats with 3 RBI's, team high. Teammate Jay Stanio was 2 for 4, scored twice and drove in 2 RBI's including a H/R.  Peter Ruiz was 1 foe 2 with 2 RBI's and also homered in the game.

As an added note...Minotaur's first baseman, Jared Koppel pulled off a very odd and extremely rare one player double play by scooping up a line drive grounder to him, tagging the running going to 2nd and stepping on the first base to get the hitter!!!
