Tribe's Justin Flayer hits for the Cycle in Win over Pourhouse

HOBOKEN, September 29 -- Schreib Tribe played it's first game Monday night against Pourhouse Sliders, and started the season off on the right foot with a nifty 11-7 victory.

After taking a two run lead in the second inning things got a bit out of control for the Tribe as Pourhouse Sliders started to feast on a five run scoring buffet in the top of the third inning.

After starting off the third with two quick outs Pourhouse Slider's two hitter Pam De La Llave ripped a triple and was driven home on a two run shot by Brandon Marucci. Sean Pardue and Nicole Falgiano reached base after the dinger, and then Matt Tobia cranked out another bomb to add three runs to the Pourhouse score for a five run inning.

The Tribe would answer back in the fourth with eight runs of their own though. After completed the easy part on his road to the cycle Justin Flayer added one of the harder pieces of the cycle puzzle by demolishing a homer for two RBI driving in Kaitlyn Foley. The bottom of the order thrived as Lauren Gelmetti, Eric S., Jay Ross and Lauren Canonico all reach base in the inning. The bottom of the order created six more runs as a nice insurance policy for the Tribe.

Tribe's Justin Flayer managed a triple in the second to last recorded at bat for his team to complete the daunting task of a cycle.

The monster fourth inning, and fantastic hitting display presented by Flayer proved to be the winning ingredient for the Tribe as they went on to win the game 11-7.
