Angel (Lefty) Acosta‘s HR elevates Pitched Slapped in win

MONDAY, April 28, 2014—You Got Pitch Slapped stood toe to toe with the Pourhouse Sliders, one of the best offensive powerhouses in the league.  The Sliders don’t have just one offensive weapon; they have multiple weapons of mass destruction that flatten teams with one swing of a bat.  This was a statement game for You Got Pitch Slapped, using their defense to disarm any threat to the scoreboard.

Pitch Slapped held the Sliders to 2 runs and 6 hits in their very impressive 5 to 2 victory.  The statistic that really jumps off the page is that the Sliders scored all of their runs in the 1st inning using 4 of their 6 hits in the game.  Pitch Slapped settled down with their defense and retired the next 16 of 19 batters without letting up any extra base hits.

In the infield, Nick Calicchio and Amanda Hassan held off the ground attack.  Nick silenced his critics making 3 outstanding plays on 3rd base for Pitch Slapped.  On the other side of the diamond, Nick’s teammate Amanda Hassan was even better robbing batters of their hits.

Any ball hit in the air was brought down by John “Fifty” Rodriguezand Angel (Lefty) Acosta.  They have the ability to cover a huge area in the outfield making over the shoulder catches look routine.

Pitch Slapped was in the game due to their defense, but their offense is what brought home the W. Kris Gonzalez went 3 for 3 in the game.  His solo homerun in the bottom of the 5th inning tied things up 2 to 2.  Angel (Lefty) Acosta’s homerun to deep right field broke the 2 to 2 tie in the bottom of the 6th inning.

Teams better fasten their seatbelts because You Got Pitch Slapped is ready to take off.
