Bunnies defense superb Sunday night

SUNDAY, September 27—Last week, the undefeated Thunder Bunnies took on Biggie’s and their high-octane offense at Mama Johnson field in Hoboken, NJ.  Biggie’s leads the Carlton Fisk Division in runs scored (31), outscoring their opponents 31 to 7 in the past two games. But on this night,  Biggie’s offense came to a crashing halt as the Thunder Bunnies defeated them 2 to 1.

The Bunnies did a great job shutting down Biggie’s bats, especially those of Baraka Stubbs and Jason Cieri who have been dominating most of the season.  They were limited to just 2 hits and 1 RBI.  But It would be too easy to pinpoint 1 or 2 players who played great with their glove.  That’s not the case; collectively the entire team did an excellent job demonstrating the true meaning 'to play as a team.'

Thunder Bunny Michael Sisto had a huge night at the plate when hits were hard to come by for both teams.  Michael went 3 for 4 with 2 runs scored.  Teammates Jennifer Isler and Brian Sullivan both brought him home, collecting the only RBIs for the team.

The Thunder Bunnies are currently 3 and 0 on the season and are a half a game back from the 4 and 0 Angry Leprechauns in the Carlton Fisk Division.  The Bunnies want to finish what they started in the spring 2013 season of winning a championship.  They were the #1 seed but had an early exit when they faced the Angry Leprechauns in the play offs.  In two weeks they have a chance to redeem themselves playing them for the first time since the spring.
