Two Games to Watch on Sunday

MAMA JOHNSON FIELD, HOBOKEN, NJ -- It's been a red-hot regular season in the Hoboken Summer Coed League, and this Sunday the PLAYOFFS will finally begin with two games sure to be classics. Let's take a look at the Sunday matchups and who the players to watch will be.

#2 Louise and Jerry's vs. # 3 Dumbledore's Army

Location: Mama Johnson Field

Day/Time: Sunday, August 18th at 7:00pm

Both of these teams bring a lot of intensity and determination to the table so this should be a must watch.  Louise and Jerry's finished with a 7-1 record during the regular season.  They clubbed 86 hits and 34 RBI, so for them to win the offense must keep up its explosiveness.  Dumbledore's Army finished right at the .500 mark with a 4-4 record.  On the defensive side, they averaged a 5.21 ERA giving up 29 earned runs on the season.  A key for them will be to tighten up the shift defensively.

Player to Watch- Jude Bracken will be the one to impact this game the most.  Bracken  contributed 15 hits and smacked 2 hrs during the regular season for Louise and Jerry's.

#2 Slingers vs. #3 Biggie's

Location: Mama Johnson Field

Day/Time: Sunday, August 18th at 8:30pm

These two teams could be the most evenly matched in the playoffs so watch for this one to steal the show.  The Slingers have had a great regular season with a 6-2 record.  They've totaled an impressive 104 hits and 8 home runs, and they've showed their patience at the plate with 16 walks.  That patience could give them an edge in a close game like this one should be.

Biggie's has had an impressive season as well with a 5-3 record.  They've blasted 8 homeruns and also have shown their patience at the plate with 15 walks.  This game will come down to who can work the count and make the opposing pitchers work the most.

Player to Watch- James Amadeo of the Slingers could be the man to have the most impact on this game.  During the regular season he totaled 13 hits and 2 home runs so his power at the plate could break this game open.
