It was a good night for softball on Wednesday night at Stevens College. The Slingers, coming off of an 8-5 win over Special Hazards in their first game of the night, looked to come out with 2 wins. The only thing standing in their way was team Biggie's. 

The Slingers scored their first and only run in the second inning after Dom H. singled in Andrew T. who led off the inning with a triple. 

The game seemed to be deadlocked as the top of the 7th inning rolled around. Jason Orr was on his way to a shutout until an odd turn of events took shape. After George led off the inning with a single, Jess put the ball in play and was able to score himself and George and put Biggie's up 2-1. The Slingers were unable to answer in the bottom of the 7th as Biggies took the W, handing the Slingers their first loss of the season.

In the third game of the night, Biggie's looked ahead to take on the Angry Leprechaun's. Unlike the previous game, both teams showed early signs of offense early on, both scoring 5 or more runs by the end of the third frame. Biggies had the lead, however the Angry Leprechaun's were able to pull even with a run in the fifth thanks to an RBI single off the bat of Jon E.

But once again Biggie's played their best softball with their last three outs. In the top of the seventh Biggie's put up 5 runs to steal the win with a final score of 11-6 to end the game and get their second win of the night.
