Opening Day is Sunday, April 16th! 

We're very excited to start the season, and we thank you all for joining the ABL Men's Spring Softball League.

Before we hit the diamond for 1st pitch, please be sure to review the following League Guidelines: 

Player Waiver Form (Online) - please take a minute to forward the electronic waiver form to each player on your roster. No player can step onto the field without first signing this document. If you are reading this now and have NOT completed the form, please do so now. It only takes a minute. Thanks in advance.

Team Roster  Captains, please visit the team standings page and click onto your team. (Eventually, all teams will be split into divisions.)

In the upper right corner, you'll see a USER / EDIT. Flip over to EDIT mode. Then click the Roster tab under your team name. Click the Add Player button and follow the prompts.

You must enter at least 12 players (max 20). Please note: you will be able to make updates to this roster until the roster deadline is announced.

Player Stats - Throughout the season, you have the option to keep player stats. Each team will be provided with a scorebook at the Captains Meeting, which is on Monday, April 10th, 8pm. You will need to manually enter the stats for each player listed in the Roster area of the website.

League Payment - Each team captain is responsible for paying the entire league fee (you can collect your own players fees at your own pace). The league fee is due prior to your 1st game. You can pay any of the following ways:

-Via the Website - just log onto the ABL Website at www.joinABL.com and locate your username at the top. Click the drop-down arrow and go into Account Settings, then click Bills on the left-hand side of the page.

-Invoice - we can send you an invoice, and you can pay online with any credit card.

-Captains Meeting - you can bring a check to the Captains Meeting on Monday, April 10th, 8pm in Secaucus (email will be sent out with details).

-Venmo full payment to @jason-ross-10

Weather / Game Day Emergency Hotline - In the event of inclement weather, or if there is an emergency on game day (i.e. no umpire at the field at start-time), please call these numbers:

Weather Hotline Number - 201-224-7431. If your game is cancelled, a recording will be left on this number. If there is no cancellation message, please head to the field and a game-time decision will be made by the umpire. 

Game Day Emergency Number - 201-978-6042. If there is no umpire at the field, or if another group is double-booked, please call Jim at the above number. Please only use this phone for true league emergencies.

No Tolerance Policy - Please be sure you communicate to your players the importance of Sportsmanship. Remember – it’s just a game! Do we take it seriously? Hell yeah we do, but that doesn’t give anyone the right to act like a jerk, or disrespect the umpire, or your opponent. We have a ‘No Tolerance’ policy – any type of player misconduct will be dealt with swiftly. Everyone is here to have fun, and play ball – nobody wants to be on the field with “that guy.” You know – “that guy” who constantly argues balls and strikes, talks trash, or berates other players.  And remember - Umpires are human. Many thanks.

Also - No Metal Spikes....No Alcohol....No Smoking....No Littering - please be sure that any water bottles or other litter is picked up and thrown away before leaving the field.

Umpire Fees - Please be sure to have cash at each game, as the umpire fee is $45 per team, per doubleheader.

Rulebook - If you are new to the league, you will want to take a deep dive into the Softball Rulebook. It should answer 99% of your questions.
