Hoboken, NJ - It’s no secret that 10th & Willow Wolverines and No Fat Chix have history and, on top of that, they were the only remaining undefeated teams this season. So, with one of them about the take their first L, this matchup was sure to be one to watch. 10th and Willow started off great with their second play of the game resulting in a TD, a strike from quarterback Isai Carrillo to hot shot receiver Jesse Steele. Steele caught the deep ball with a defender draped all over him. No Fat Chix stayed poised and responded quickly though.  They stepped up their defense and quarterback Ryan Sheridan found Tim Sheridan in the ednzone for their first score of the game. 10th & Willow continued to pick through the defense and the Carrillo to Steele connection cashed in again. Emotions ran high for No Fat Chix, wanting more calls to go their way, but headed into halftime trailing just 14-6. Both teams’ quarterbacks were efficient, with Carrillo completing 11 of 16 passes and Ryan going 7 of 10.

In the second half, things trended up for 10th & Willow and down for No Fat Chix. 10th & Willow’s defense was overwhelming and they just had the edge in this game. Aside from interceptions from Ryan and Tim Sheridan, No Fat Chix didn’t have any other highlight worthy moments. On the other hand, Steele continued to come up big for 10th & Willow on offense and defense, snagging his third TD of the game to go along with 2 timely sacks to help seal this game. 10th & Willow played with ice in their veins and brought the heat to remain undefeated, taking down rival No Fat Chix by a score of 20-6.
