Bucket SZN makes it look easy and needs just 1 more win to complete their undefeated season!

Jersey City- Bucket SZN is the only undefeated team this season and wasn't looking for that to change anytime soon. It's playoff time now and Hoop There It Is stood between them and the championship round. The game began with good defense from both teams, with the offenses MIA. It took over 5 minutes for either team to score but then Bucket SZN took off. They went on a 7-0 run while keeping Hoop There It Is scoreless even further into the half. Even without substitutes, Bucket SZN played hard and led by as many as 10 in the first half. Hoop There It Is did not make the necessary in-game adjustments, as they continued to force shots through traffic and Bucket SZN's shot blockers. Bucket SZN, as a team, recorded and impressive 7 blocks on the night. Hoop There It Is couldn’t buy a basket, and this style of play would not be enough to take down this juggernaut. Bucket SZN had all the momentum and only added to it as Aaron Gadsden hit a half-court shot at the buzzer to extend his team’s lead to 25-15 at the break.

The struggles for Hoop There It Is didn’t let up in the second half, as the low scoring output continued. They weren't communicating well and looked lost on both offense and defense. They played too much one-on-one basketball and failed to swing the ball to find the open man. Despite the lack of subs, Bucket SZN was the team who played with more energy, hustled for rebounds, and was more in tune overall at both ends of the court. Bucket SZN led by as many as 15 in the second half, aided by a defense that held its opponent scoreless for a stretch of over 7 minutes. Hoop There It Is was forced to play catch-up all night and never led once in this game. Bucket SZN made this one look easy as they took the game by a score of 45-33, punching their ticket to the championship game in a rematch with Slaughterhouse. Jordan Wejnert led Hoop There It Is with 9 points, 4 rebounds, 1 steal, and 1 assist followed by teammate Gary Hettinger’s 8 points, 12 rebounds, 2 blocks, and 1 assist. Bucket SZN’s Vic Rosario put up a double-double of 17 points and 13 rebounds, also adding 1 steal. Teammate Keyaire Martin contributed a stat line of 9 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, and 3 blocks.
