This game was almost cancelled due to the heat wave crushing North Jersey this past weekend!  Nevertheless, the League made it happen!  To be honest, the Master Batters looked disinterested, tired & demotivated for this series & it certainly showed in their play.  They couldn't must up any runs until the 6th inning, but by then it was too late.  It came out later that they were missing 3-4 of their normal guys.  Oh well, next man up right?  Couple of Hunks steamrolled their way to a 14-2 victory.  Every member of the squad scored at least 1 run except for Tyler Sanchez.  It's ok, he made up for it on the mound.  He allowed only 2 runs off of 9 hits through 6 innings!  Not bad!  Evan went 3 for 3, shy of the cycle had he added a Homer.  Leading the team in RBI's were Danny & Mike, who each had 3.

Game 2 was over before it started.  Master Batters were defeated mentally & physically.  The Hunks dropped 10 runs in the bottom of the 1st.  Home runs were credited to clean up man Vinny, Danny & Mick!  Mick also lead the team w/ 5 RBI's.  Another solid outing for Mr. Sanchez allowing only 1 run on 5 hits & a K.  

This was Couple of Hunks 1st year in the league & they impressed.  They have talent, speed, smarts, power hitting & youth on their side.  The one thing you have to worry about(not yet) with a team like this is the lack of discipline.  Every guy wants to crush a softball 350 feet, but sometimes all it takes is the smarts to know there are gaps all over the field any given inning.  Like I said, nothing to worry about yet, this team earned this championship & we look forward to seeing what they can do against stiffer competition next season!  Congrats gentlemen!
