Jersey City- It was a battle of undefeateds, the top two teams in the league, and one would have to take their first loss of the season. Expectations were high and Bucket Szn did not disappoint as they came out on fire with a 9-0 run. Slaughterhouse, on the other hand, was not playing like themselves. They missed their first four 3-pointers, looked tired and slow early on, and were not getting back on defense. Bucket Szn’s offense and defense was flawless and they led by as many as 12 in the half. They shared the ball well, stayed patient to work for the best shot attempt, and picked Slaughterhouse apart. Even so, Slaughterhouse was able to cut the lead down to 2 with 2 minutes remaining in the half after realizing the 3-ball wasn’t going to bail them out. At the break, Bucket Szn led 33-26 behind Vic Rosario’s 15 points, the only player in double figures. He was an absolute beast!!

Bucket Szn did not let their foot off the gas in the second half, extending their lead back up to 12 almost immediately. Nothing was easy for Slaughterhouse; they worked for every bucket because of the tough defense of Bucket Szn. Slaughterhouse didn't help their cause with a lot of careless turnovers. Bucket Szn added 5 blocks on the night, 4 by Keyaire Martin, and they were all highlight reel worthy. The largest lead was 13 and, even while playing a bad game, Slaughterhouse was able to fight their way back to cut the deficit to just 1 point with 2 minutes remaining. The last 6 minutes was the most competitive of the night, but Bucket Szn would not allow such a well-played game to slip away. Bucket Szn came away with the victory by a score of 58-54 to remain undefeated going into the playoffs. Vic Rosario finished with 29 points, 7 rebounds, 4 steals, 1 assist, and 1 block while teammate Glenn Walker added 10 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 steals. For Slaughterhouse, Brandon Steward put up 18 points, 7 rebounds, 5 steals, and 4 assists followed by Kenny Rose’s 10 points, 2 rebounds, 2 steals, and 2 assists.
