Hoop There It Is completes an undefeated regular season.

Jersey City – Hoop There It Is secured their spot as the only undefeated team this regular season.  They were shorthanded, without 2 of their key guys, but that was no problem at all. X-Factor will not make the playoffs this season but did put up a tough fight regardless. The first half showed great defensive effort from both teams, resulting in a tight, low-scoring half. X-factor was moving the ball a lot better than Hoop There It Is and, at one point, extended to an 8 point lead. Hoop There It Is, however, never stays down for long.  Not only did they cut into the deficit, but Gary Hettinger nailed a half court buzzer beater to bring his team to within 2 points. He led the team with 10 points at the break. X-Factor, still holding a 29-27 halftime lead, was led by Eric Adams with his 12 points.  However, he would finish with just 14 points in addition to his 8 rebounds, 2 steals, and 2 assists.

Hoop There It Is always puts on a show in the second half and tonight was no different. Ramping up the speed of the game resulted in a 9-0 run and an emphatic snatch of the lead. X-Factor became visibly tired, struggling to keep up with the pace and not converting on the same looks they got in the first half. Hoop There It Is extended to the largest lead of the game at 14, imposing their will through most of the half. X-Factor tried to climb back in the game with a run that brought them to within 4, but Hoop There It Is locked in and slammed the door shut. They were up by 7 at the 2-minute mark and went on the win their 10th straight by a score of 63-55. X-Factor’s Rahmaan Patton posted 16-points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1 steal while teammate Kevin Johnson added 11 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 steal. For Hoop There It Is, all but one player scored in double-digits.  The highest scorers were Gary Hettinger and his 21 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, and 1 block followed by Mike Minion with his 13 points, 5 rebounds, 2 steals, 2 assists and 3 blocks.
