ABL is Bergen, Hudson and Passaic County’s best provider of recreational sports leagues for adults who push themselves in various sports, ranging in skill from rookies to almost professional. We have players from Hoboken, Jersey City, Weehawken, and Edgewater playing in various tournaments, including basketball leagues, flag football leagues and men’s and coed softball leagues. The idea is to give you something to do each week that will not take too much time but will still keep you in great shape and allow you to meet new people.
Softball is the most popular sport with really passionate players. If contact sports are not your thing, we also offer bar shuffleboard. We are also up for new ideas and new sports, so if you do not see something you are interested in playing, run the idea by us.
You can sign up as an individual and be placed on a team, or you can create your own team to go up against other teams. We offer traditional game set-ups and co-ed games in order to increase the amount of playing time each team gets. We care about each and every player, wanting you to get the absolute best out of your experience and will treat you like an MVP.
The atmosphere at ABL is competitive, yet really laid back, and we do not expect you to be the best player every time. There are some teams that love to win and there are some teams that just love to play -- you’ll find the right fit. Still, we understand that everything has to be stress free in order for it to be enjoyable, which is why we take care of the little details.
