In a truncated week, I’m not sure it would have mattered how many games were played. This week’s Player of the Week absolutely ran away with it. For the second time this season, Taner Cecen has earned the honors. This time, however, it was in an impressive win. He absolutely went off for a league-high 44 points, nailing 7 three-point attempts along the way, and snagged 15 rebounds to secure the double-double. As if that wasn’t enough, he’d tack on 2 assists to round out his stat line. Cecen accounted for a whopping 63.8% of his team’s scoring and 69.6% of their offensive production (includes assists). Oh, and this wasn’t against any slouch of a team. This performance came against perennial championship contenders Charliewang Express. Digging a little deeper, Charliewang Express was coming off of a tough loss, so you know they were eager to put it behind them with a big win. However, our player of the week and Progressive had other plans. It was a huge first win (discounting the win via forfeit) led by the scoring machine that is Taner Cecen.
