Out of the Race, Lion's Pride Fights to the Finish

HOBOKEN, NJ -- Leading up to their final game of the regular season, the Lion's Pride flag team had an inauspicious 2-5 record. You couldn't blame 'em if they simply went through the motions in their final battle of the season vs. the playoff-bound Flutie Boys. But this Lion's Pride team showed the league why half their team name is 'Pride.' In a wild game, they defeated the Flutie Boys 27-25 in a display of mental toughness and determination.

Lion's Pride QB John Laurine was 14 of 22 passing with 2 TD's. He also rushed for 2 TD's in a great final performance. Receivers Alex Indelicato and Mike Eddy each caught a touchdown pass in the victory.

In the loss, Flutie Boys QB Tait Pirkle was an impressive 27 for 41 with 4 TD's, and Receiver Pete "The Killer" Kraljic caught 3 TD's, but it just wasn't enough to take the pride out of the Lion.

With their season over, Lion's Pride has a lot to be proud of, and hopefully they can build on this victory when the spring league rolls around next year.

Meanwhile, the Flutie Boys (5-3) will have to shake it off as they head into Round 1 of the playoffs in a marquee matchup vs. Yer Motha's Broccoli (5-3).
