Bada Bing Draws First Blood From the Misfits

LAST WEEK -- On the brink of a possible Dodger-Yankee World Series, the Jersey Shore Division has its own rivalry brewing. The league's two best teams, The Misfits and Bada Bing, put their perfect records on the line last Tuesday evening.

The Misfits struck first, plating a pair in the bottom of inning one. Bada Bing would answer back in the second with a run. But the Misfits, led by two-hit games from Michelle, Ray, Chris and James, would score a couple more in the third and jump out to a 4-1 lead.

Bada Bing stayed calm, cool and collected. They got two across in the top of the 4th.

Short on Bullpen arms, and clinging to a 4-3 lead in the last, the Misfits tried to hold on for dear life. After a pair of walks and hits to start the 7th, Player of the Game Vic (3-4, 3R, 2RBI) stepped up and scorched a two run triple in the gap and popped this baby open. Bada Bing would add a couple more insurance runs and hold on to the 9-4 victory.

Bada Bing looks poised to take the next step and compete for the title. However, The Misfits will not have to wait long for redemption; the two will tangle again this week at 7:30pm.
