SHARK RIVER, NJ -- It's still anyone's ball game as we reach the midway point in our Jersey Shore division. Only 1.5 games separate our first place leaders, the Misfits (3-1) and Bada Bing (3-1) from our 4th place team, Make it a Double (2-3).

Talulas (2-2) and Bond St (2-1) are sandwiched in the middle of that pack too. Only the newcomers, the Ducks (0-4) are mathematically out of it but are steadily improving each week and will look to play spoilers the rest of the way.

The hits crown is equally exciting. Some familiar faces lead the pack. Misfit's JT leads all batters with 13 base knocks. Sean (12), Adrian (11) and Tommy (10) are in the hunt. Doug, Brett and Vic all have 9.

Mike D from MIAD and Vic from Bada Bing are leading the league in runs scored with 8. Adrian and Doug from the Misfits have 7.

Matt from Bond St leads all sluggers with 9 RBIs and that is in one less game played!

Dave G (MIAD) has rounded the bases 3 times already this season and is in the home run lead.

Adrian is a perfect 11 for 11 and leads the division in batting average. Doesn't look like anyone can get the slugging lefty out this season!

As far as teams go, Bond St is leading all teams with a .476 average just ahead of the Misfits .474

The Misfits have scored the most runs so far with 42 but again, Bond St is hanging tough with 29 in only 3 games played.

Defensively, Bond St, Bada Bing and Misfits are all allowing only 4 runs per game.

It's going to be an exciting fight to the finish under the lights of Bert Willis Field to crown a Summer Season Champion!
