BERT WILLIS PARK -- For the first time in 2017, the Misfits came up on the wrong end of a close game. It was a back and forth affair with the lead changing hands three times.

Make it a Double put up single runs in the first and second and a pair in the third. Misfits answered with 2 in the second and 2 more in the third. The Misfits would get one in the 5th to take the lead and it had that feeling of "here we go again."

MIAD would answer right back in the top of the sixth with a pair, and thanks to Player of the Game Mike Shephard's (3-3) defense in left, they were able to hold that lead until the final out.

Christian, AnnMarie and Dave each had two hits. Sean added 3 to provide the offense for Make it a Double.

For the Misfits, Tommy and Doug had three hits a piece including Doug's record breaking time around the bases on his inside the park home run.

In the end, the 6-5 victory was sweet for Make it a Double, but they can't truly avenge last season's loss until they knock the Misfits out of the playoffs. Will they get that chance?
