Former Champs look to get back on track

REESE FIELD, BOGOTA, NJ -- In a meeting between former champions, the Seton Smash dominated Wee Willies last Sunday, winning the 2-game set by a combined score of 31-4.

The Seton Smash (5-3) now find themselves in 3rd place in the talented Mike Schmidt Division

Earlier in the season, they split vs. another former championship squad, Taino's (8-2), then rebounded with a 2-game sweep over the Muy Buenos (0-10), only to get dismantled by 1st place beast Waka/Cooper Place (9-1) by scores of 7-26 and 9-24.

If the Smash hope to compete against the juggernauts in this division, they'll need sluggers Lance Aligo (.800, 3 HR's, 22 RBI's), Mark McConville (.622, 4 HR's, 18 RBI's) and Saul Rosado (.640, 4 HR's, 18 RBI's) to keep their firepower blazing the next few games. Their next three opponents (McSwiggans, Arsenal and Taino's) have a combined record of 19-7.

Stay tuned!
