Crushers Win Second Straight

LAST WEEK -- So far this spring, the team trending with the steadiest incline has been the Cardinal Crushers. Week by week their offensive output has improved and their defense has becoming more and more rock steady.

After dropping their first two matchups of the season, Cardinal is on a mini winning streak and has looked impressive doing it.

This past week vs Talulas, they got multi-hit games from Bry Johnson, Mike Saulnier, Guy Pollini, and Player of the Game; Sean Urie (3-3, 2R, IPHR).

Talula had 20 hits including a 3 hit night from Dave (3-4, R, 2 RBI) but they stranded 11 on base sometimes at the most critical times.

It was an exciting back and forth affair with 4 lead changes, but in the end, Talula (1-4) left the tying runs on base in the bottom of the 7th. They will have an extra week to think about how this one slipped away as they draw the bye this week.

As for Cardinal (2-2), if they are going keep their win streak alive, its going to mean they will have to do something nobody else has yet in 2 seasons; take down the Misfits (4-0).
