AXA 800# Gorillaz get thunderstruck by Thundercats and their awesome new uniforms.

Thundercats are putting together another impressive season to follow up their first championship.  They hit a bit of a skid there with a two game losing streak, but would regain their composure against AXA 800# Gorillaz.  Credit the awesome new uniforms for the slump buster.  Their opponent looked intimidated from the toss.

Thundercats took care of business with the bats in this one, led by Colin McKay.  McKay went 3 for 4 at the plate, including 3 runs scrored, 2 homeruns, and 6 RBI's.  One of those homers was a grand slam that broke the game wide open in the 4th inning.  RBI's  for Thundercats were also recorded by Eric Smith (4), Tim Dempsey (1), and Franklin Johnson (2), who went 4 for 4 on the game.  Darren Apostolik, Jules Malley, Caitlin Mahoney, and Lauren Mains also touched home to score runs for Thundercats.

Despite the loss, AXA 800# Gorillaz's Matt Carroll and Spencer Toth impressed at the plate.  Carroll hit for the cycle in his 4 for 4 effort and scored twice in addition to his 3 RBI's.  Toth went 3 for 4 and belted 2 homeruns, also accounting for 2 runs and 3 RBI's.

Thundercats got off to a hot start and never looked back.  They score 4 in the first inning and plated at least 1 run in each of the final four frames.  It's a good start for the new alternate uniforms.  Thundercats is now back above .500 and in third place of the Dave Parker Division, square in the playoff mix and in line for a chance to repeat as champions.  I think it's also safe to say that no team is having more fun either.
