LAST WEEK -- 5 hits and 5 runs in the first inning capped off by Player of the Game Guy Pollini's (3-3, 2R, 4RBI) inside the park homer would prove to be enough to get the Cardinal Crushers their first win of the season.

The Crushers got multiple hit games from Pollini, Cory Ehrhardt, Sophia Shinn, Mike Saulneir, Brandon Heim and Sean Urie.

Pollini was equally as effective on the mound getting the W while only allowing three runs and not walking a Porta batter over 7IP.

As for Porta, its really just a numbers game, as in the they don't have the number of players needed to compete. They were short handed again in this game, fielding only 9. The players they do have are playing great ball led by superstars Joe Lombardi (3-4, 7IP, 0BB), Jed Higerson (3-4) and the slick fielding Katie Cannell who once again made the play of the night on a diving catch in center.

It wont get any easier for Porta when they take on the juggernaut Misfit squad next week. Cardinal will look to start a streak vs Talula.
