After a disappointing week 1 showing, the crew from Make it a Double could not wait to get back on the diamond and shake off the loss.

It was the Cardinal Crushers who drew the unenviable task of playing their first game of the season versus a fired up MIAD squad.

Make it a Double wasted no time in showing their hospitality and welcoming the Crushers into the league. Five runs in the first and double that amount in the second and those birds were cooked.

Player of the Game Christian Royston (2-3, R, 2RBI) got back to his winning ways on the mound. Scattering five hits and allowing only 2 runs while striking out 3 in 5 innings of work.

The lone bright spot for the Crushers was Guy Pollioni (2-2, RBI) who threw 3 strong innings in relief, allowing only 2 hits and no runs.

However, by that point the damage was done and Make it a Double were packing up to move to the second game of their double header. Cardinal will look to get their first win of the season next week when they take on Bond St in what should be a fun matchup.
