Bond St Jump on the Talulas Early and Often

If there is one team that could not wait for winter to pass and get back on the diamond it was the Bond St. GFY's, last year's most improved squad.

They came out of the gate hitting, music pumping and having fun. Team Captain Charlie Interrante (2-3, 2R) led off the game with an inside the park homer and Bond St was off to the races. Player of the Game Dime Dave (2-3, 3R, 5RBI) also added an inside the park homer of his own in the first en route to a 6 run frame. Bond St added 8 more in the second and three in the third on Joe Brown's (2-2, 2R, 2RBI) towering moon shot that rang off the top of the fence.

The gang from Talulas took a little while to get it out of neutral, but when they did they started putting up hits and runs in bunches. They put up 6 runs in the last three innings and if not for some baserunning blunders early in the game, this one may have been closer than the score says.

Brendan (3-3, R, 4RBI, ISPHR) did all he could to keep Talula in it but they dug themselves too big a hole from the start.

Bond St will get an early season test next week when they take on the defending champs, the Misfits (1-0). Meanwhile, Talulas will play in the nightcap when they face off with Langosta Lounge.
