"Zero Pucks Given" Wins Back to Back Title's

HOBOKEN, NJ -- It wasn't long ago that Capt. John Damiani and his shuffleboard team, Zero Pucks Given, were struggling to make the playoffs in the ABL Shuffleboard League.

Back in the Fall Season of 2015, they lost 8 of their first 10 games, and finished with an overall team record of 8 wins, 10 losses. But they learned a lot from that season, and had a nice followup in the 2015 winter season, qualifying for the playoffs as a # 5 seed and improving their overall season record to 15 wins and 11 losses.

But all that is ancient history, as Zero Pucks Given has become the most dominant team in the league.

After claiming their first championship in the spring of '16, finishing with a stupifying record of 21-1, they entered this past '16 fall season looking for a repeat. And they got just that, delivering another incredible regular season performance (25 wins, 3 losses), culminating in last night's Championship sweep over team "Shuffle Butter."

Over the past 2 seasons, Zero Pucks Given has an overall league record of 46 wins and just 4 losses.

Can anyone stop this juggernaut?

Former champions "Cool Hand Luke" and "The Mighty Pucks" had no answers, as they fell by the wayside in the early rounds of the playoffs. "Puck Dynasty," who have appeared in 2 championship finals in the past year (albeit 2 losses), were defeated in the Semifinals. The "EarthQUATES" fled to New York City, and were thwarted in their bid to repeat as champions, losing to the upstart "Every Day I'm Shufflin.'" And team "Shuffle Butter" has now lost to "ZPG" in back to back championships.

As Sir Andrew Barton once said, "I am hurt, but am not slain; I'll lay me down to bleed awhile, and then I'll rise and fight again."

Are there any shuffle masters in Hoboken, NJ that can challenge these great warriors of the talented Zero Pucks Given?

When asked if they planned on defending their Title next season, which starts in early February, ZPG captain John Damiani said, "We’ll definitely be back for the winter season.  Got to go for the three-peat."

We also inquired with team captain Jeremy VonBlohn of the 'EarthQUATES' to see if they'd return to the Hoboken League next season. VonBlohn said "Thanks, I will run it by the other half. I know we don't like other teams taking the prize so easily. And now that they have 2 championships, there is just one more to go to tie us. And we cannot have that lol. But yes 46-4 is mighty impressive."

If you want to compete in this upcoming Winter Season, we welcome you to reserve your team spot now, and step up to the challenge.

Glory awaits!
