GARFIELD, NJ -- Tainos & D'Anna Electric faced off in the Championship on Sunday, 11/13/2016.  Best out of 3 games takes home the crown! Both teams had identical records of 14-4, so this was sure to be a doozy. 

Game 1 belonged to Tainos.  Right off the gate they were "En Fuego" & looked to be putting this series away early. They scored 23 runs in 5 innings (including 8 in the 5th!).

Louis Dessus & Luigi Napolitano both batted 1.000 going a perfect combined 7 for 7.  Ray M. & Jon S. did what they do, get on base.  Carmine blasted 2 Home Runs to aide in the Scoring Dept.  Rafi has superior speed around the bases while Jamie Wilkerson (kinda looks like 50 Cent!) hit 3 times & scored 3 times as well!  Big Jose went 3 for 4 & Josh Colon came through with a clutch 2 RBI triple late in the game.  Pops was on the mound as usual & contributed by allowing only 9 runs to D'Anna Electric, including allowing a scoreless 2nd inning.

This all amounted to an impressive 23-9 victory. 

Game 2:
This was the most intense game we have covered all season!  Pretty sure there were at least 5-6 lead changes! D'Anna Electric "woke up" & reminded ABL why they won last years Championship.  They scored "26" total runs, including a monster 2nd inning in which 11 total runs came across the plate!  My pen was running out of ink! Joe, Frank, Brandon & Ray(2) all had homers in the game. 

This game looked to be Electric's for the taking.  Tainos were finally put in a position we weren't used to seeing, they were behind.  Not only behind, but seemed to be losing their cool, their momentum & juice!  They were down 22 to 14 in the 5th when the madness began!  The "2 Out madness" mind you!

Tainos rallied by scoring 10 runs in the 5th inning.  Thanks to, well, everyone in the lineup!  Big fat kudos to Jesus A.  4 For 4 big guy! Adios MIO!!!!!!

Tainos wins game two 28-26.

It is worth noting that Tainos scored in EVERY inning in each of these 2 games.  D'Anna Electric is a strong ballclub, they have talent, but this reminded us of the Seahawks/Broncos Super Bowl.  The Broncos (D'Anna Electric in this case) just got punked!

Tainos has it all.  Speed, power, & most importantly, consistency.  Don't be surprised if we see them repeat next year!
