Misfits Wrap up a 5-1 Campaign, Bond St Squeaks into the Postseason

NEPTUNE CITY, NJ -- Before the sun set and the chilly fog covered Bert Willis field Tuesday night, the Misfits' bats stayed hot. After a scoreless top, the Misfits put up a quick 7 on Bond St in the bottom.

Leadoff speedster CJ (3-5, 4R, 2RBI) did what he does, legging singles into doubles and wrapping up the league lead in that category with 7.

Riyan played her steady centerfield and with her 4 hits (4-5, 3R, 3RBI) led all ladies in hits this season. (11)

Chris (3-4, 2R, 2RBI) and Winning Pitcher JT also had big nights. Despite going 3-4 and not driving in a run, JT still managed to lead the league with 16 RBI.

As for Bond St, 2 hits a piece from Charlie, Nick, Dave, Lawrence and Rob helped cut a 9-0 lead to 9-6 midway thru the 6th.

That would be as close as Bond St would get. The Misfits took it out of cruise and Player of the Game Tommy Gunz stepped up going 5-5, driving in 3 and scoring 2 of his league high 13 runs. They would put up 10 in that inning and put the game to bed, earning them a home game next week with Toast. As for Bond St they will once again look to play Giant killers when they take on Make it a Double.
